Position Description:
Duties include:
- Drive a shunt truck for pin to pin moves in order to contribute to the smooth operation;
- Back trailers into designated areas as requested;
- Perform circle checks to make sure trailers are fit to move on highway;
- Perform and document daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections of the shunt truck;
- Perform other tasks contributing to the smooth operation of the facility;
- Submit or receive information to or from the Supervisor using the proper communication equipment.
Requirements:
- Safety Oriented
- Valid AZ license is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.,
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Availability for weekends.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Professional appearance and manners
